We had a double celebration last Sunday, birthday and Father’s Day. The tablescape was a simple, hopefully more masculine one than my norm…..
I used dinner plates from Target, and red cabbage salad plates that were a gift from Hubby several years ago…….
Like the rest of the table, the centerpiece was simple…
The sons were our chefs…..
they made a delicious meal for their parents, beginning with green beans…
Fruit salad made with cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, nectarines, kiwi, and fresh basil, a little salt and pepper to enhance the flavor of the fruit – perfect….
For my steak loving guys, strip steaks marinated in Yoshida sauce…..
Good food, great company, and gifts – a perfect evening :-)
I’m joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday and Michael at Designs by Gollum for Foodie Friday.
Thank you for visiting, I hope to see you again soon….

How nice to have a couple of young men do the cooking…love the table, the cabbage leaf plates are some of my favorites.

The meal looks absoulutely beautiful on the plates — a work of art! Your dining room and table setting are wonderful too!
Hope you and yours have an enjoyable weekend.
