We had a double celebration last Sunday, birthday and Father’s Day. The tablescape was a simple, hopefully more masculine one than my norm…..
I used dinner plates from Target, and red cabbage salad plates that were a gift from Hubby several years ago…….
Like the rest of the table, the centerpiece was simple…
The sons were our chefs…..
they made a delicious meal for their parents, beginning with green beans…
Fruit salad made with cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, nectarines, kiwi, and fresh basil, a little salt and pepper to enhance the flavor of the fruit – perfect….
For my steak loving guys, strip steaks marinated in Yoshida sauce…..
Good food, great company, and gifts – a perfect evening :-)
I’m joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday and Michael at Designs by Gollum for Foodie Friday.
Thank you for visiting, I hope to see you again soon….

I have never seen red cabbage plates before, but they look great! I really like how you’ve added the green apples for that extra punch of color. Thanks for sharing and happy TT to you!

Love the table…but REALLY LOVE that your guys prepared the meal. I always get excited when my boys cook for me. One has mastered BBQ pork…he could win contests!!! and the other makes the best cakes I have eaten…EVER! (He used to sell his cakes and pies to restaurants for extra money when he was in college. His key lime pie is the best I have ever tasted!)
