Today I’m joining Susan at Thoughts from Over the Rainbow for her Deck the Halls party. I’ve been busy “Christmasing” the house this week.
Let’s take a look……
Santa’s car is always the first thing to come out of storage. My mother gave me this cookie jar years ago; Santa’s arrival always means it’s Christmas time….
I have grapevine garlands on the banisters with big red bows and rusty jingle bells……..
we have a choir of dogs and angles the sons made in school…..
Our tree awaits ornaments – that’s today’s project. We’ve placed our tree in the foyer for years, the best place for frequent viewing in a house overly cluttered with furniture.Besides no one ever comes to the front door, at least not until we place a tree in front of it……
My “Merry” pillows were a handmade gift from my mother……
The den is my “Santa” room. I have Santas that were gifts from friends and family members………
one very special Santa that was made by my Nana and my sister……..
The Santas are my favorites, they’re red after all. So they have the place of honor in my favorite room……
We’re still awaiting the arrival of a few stockings, we have a good start though……
The youngest son, back in the days when bribery worked, drew our Christmas cards. I framed them and have them displayed on the den mantle…..
maybe some day I’ll be able to talk him in to just one more, I keep trying……
That’s Christmas in our den…..until the sons arrive in 2 weeks!!!!!
Billy and Bob are decked for Christmas (silly Michael’s had the chicken wreaths mislabeled – I almost missed them – they said “candle wreaths”)……
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a chance to visit again soon!

Everything is so pretty! I did not know they made wreaths for chickens – learn something new everyday. :-)
