Hello, It’s Metamorphosis Monday – be sure to visit our hostess, Susan, at Between Naps On the Porch
to see a list of all the participants.
This week I’m beginning a tour of our home with a few photos of the outside.
Our home was built in 1798 by George and Obedience Hanger. The Mill adjacent to the house was built two years later. The property was sold to the Shuterlees, then to the Franks in 1900. The mill was operational until the mid 1970’s. It is still known as Frank’s Mill. The early photo is from the 1950’s and was given to us by the Frank family.
The house was used as a school for 10 years prior to our purchase/rescue. It was in a horrid state of disrepair. I received a Homes magazine from a realtor; for some reason this pitiful picture intrigued me.
This is how our house looks today, I hope you’ll stop by and come inside next Monday…...
Frank’s Mill (on the other side of the driveway) will be the setting for Tablescape Thursday – it’s dinner for two and dancing this week……

I cannot begin to tell you how jealous I am of your home. It is simply divine!
