I love the look of painted furniture; however, applying paint to an antique still sporting it’s original wood finish was something I couldn’t bring myself to do. In the last few years I’ve justified blurring my self-imposed line by purchasing a few already painted antique tables. I crossed my final mental barrier when Hubby painted this table for me.
Now that I’ve taken the plunge, I’m loving it! I’m not going crazy – pieces I treasure will never be painted – but a little table here and there are fun.
Here are a few drool worthy pieces from Pinterest.
I love this sweet blue with the birds … I think I’ve seen something similar in another color … or was the color changed in photoshop?
Love how these are used side by side to make a more substantial piece … so clever.
This is a gorgeous piece, the color takes my mind immediately to a daydream of sun, sand, and salty water,
The metallics and the bees …. squeal!
This green must live in a cheery house …
This would be lovely to look at while reading the paper and sipping coffee…
Now on to the cute ones… how fun is this for a child’s room?
This one would take some time …
I have a desk that’s being painted by a pro … it would just be sloppy if I attempted the job. This is the sneak peak she sent a few days ago … I can’t wait to see the finished project. I already have the next piece selected, it’s easy to invent new projects when someone else is doing the work -ha!
