Every spring as the weather gets warmer I begin to think about getting the porch ready for dinners outside. This year there was no getting around the porch a major facelift. To begin I took the plan in my head and created a visual idea board using Photoshop. It’s a great way to “see” things before I head out to the store. I do have to be flexible since the website colors aren’t always accurate – but it gives me a good general direction.
I knew I wanted banners, they’re so cheery. Unfortunately, I do not possess the talent to produce anything worth seeing (keeping) – lucky for me the people on Etsy do. Etsy is where I found bunting/banners in the cutest fabrics…..
I found a second banner that will be at another location on the porch (long porch)…….
Pier 1 was very accommodating with a recent pillow/cushion sale and I took full advantage. We have two wicker settees and four chairs at the large end of the porch. In the middle I have a round table with a blue/green mosaic tile top and two chairs. At the other end is a large round table with four metal chairs….
I found the two outdoor rugs through a post at Emily A. Clark
They’re made from recycled plastic straws from Fab Habitat
The paisley one, which is reversible, will be mid porch with the bistro table and two chairs…….
I’ll share the photos of the porch once it’s all together, it’s still a work in progress. I have galvanized trays, chickens, and lanterns all waiting to be placed – soon……
thank you for visiting!
