It’s time for a catch-up coffee chat – Yay! Life gets crazy busy and pausing to take a deep breath can seem like a daunting task rather than a moment of relaxation. I’m giving myself permission to slow down a little …. at least this week. We’re going to try to squeeze in a couple of top down mustang adventures before the temperatures are prohibitive. We’re looking forward to a drive or two to snap photos of the beautiful leaves in the Shenandoah Valley. The leaves aren’t turning yet, the brisk mornings are an indication the time is rapidly approaching.
Since our last chat, we’ve visited Hubby’s family for a weekend in Ohio ..I discovered a fabulous shop …Hubby is so glad I won’t be able to visit often. The Morgan House is packed with fabulousness in every nook and cranny. I’m already looking forward to a return visit.
Just a week ago we were enjoying sunsets at the beach with #1 son and daughter-in-law. As always, we visited great places to eat in addition to the wonderful meals they prepared for us. We watched a movie in one of their many theaters with recliners and waiters that bring wine and gourmet popcorn to your chair at the push of a button. The annual experience makes me want to toss out the living room furniture, that we NEVER use, and create our own recliner viewing experience. I suppose I could carry my own glass of wine, it wouldn’t be the same and Hubby is reluctant to hire a staff; consequently, the living room revamp is on hold.
I finally made the transition from summer to fall decor around the house. I haven’t started my mental countdown to spring, the day the first frost hits will be my starting point. This year I added some copper and turquoise to the mix. I read on. Another blog that “copper is out”…. really? I see it everywhere, the stores in my small town must be behind the times. Fine by me, I’m loving the colors.
I hope you have a chance to stop in again this week….we’ll take a little tour of the fall decor inside and out….. share a recipe…fun stuff.
