My Autumn Coffee Table Tray marks the beginning of the change of seasons in our house. Even though summer does not end for a few more days, and I’m clinging to every little bit of warmth before that horrid winter weather rolls in…I’ve caving an itsy bitsy bit and changing my den coffee table tray from a summer to autumn look. The coffee table tray in my office never changes, I like what I have and it would be a challenge to redo. The living room only changes for Christmas. The den tray and the kitchen island are the only inside spots that change with all the seasons. I go (some MIGHT say) tacky crazy with back porch decor…but I keep the front porch simple – it’s a balance.
Here is a glance at the items now in storage waiting for their spring visit – we’re counting the days already….
I enjoyed the “sea glass (so lovingly collected by the people at Pier 1) in the summer lantern….
that I went with a similar look for autumn. Again, with help from Pier 1….
The old book pages tied with twine and the bronze sphere are old TJ Maxx acquisitions. This year I purchased a rustic looking wooden lantern at T.J. Maxx for my sparkly pumpkins – why go faux if you can’t sparkle?
and another repeat of colorful globes from Pier 1….obviously, I liked the collection I assembled for the warm weather this year and wasn’t ready to part with the look.
This is one of my teenie concessions to the change of seasons…that’s not here yet…just sayin’ I may not be wearing white pants any longer, but I’m not giving up on sandals until the calendar says FALL. I’ll be back to share the kitchen island decor – and maybe the porch…ugh, I’m weak.
Thanks for the visit, maybe we’ll see each other at Metamorphosis Monday!
