Number Four Son recently suggested tweaking the kitchen by changing the darker pieces (clutter) on top of the cabinets – to white pieces. The goal was to reflect light and brighten the space. You know the space between the cabinets and the ceiling that’s empty when your contractor/husband decides to remove the top row of cabinets because you NEED beams. The beams are wonderful and I’ve gotten used to the rows of storage shelves in the basement that are home to the displaced dishes – LOL. So out with the old……
and in with the new….
thankfully, I save books that were read YEARS ago – the entire collection of white is sitting on top of stacked books
The pitchers and a few of the pieces, I’ve had for years. A few of the pieces were used in tablescapes, and a few things are new purchases.
One of my favorites is the little stove – I found that and the enamel plates at Karen’s Emporium in Churchville.
no need to squint….I can get you closer…..
and I LOVE the monkey – he’s an eBay find….
I’m not sure they brighten the room, but they brighten the space and the putting together was fun….
Thank you for visiting!
I’m going to be linking this post to Metamorphosis Monday at Between Naps on the Porch

OH, I love the change and the white looks so pretty! I love the scale and the little head on it! I’m popping over from Met Monday.
Be a sweetie,
