The last time the “boys” bedrooms were given any attention, other than cleaning, was right after Number One son left for college. He turns 36 (gasp) this year. I can’t wait to share the “after” photos, but I want you to see it all put together and I’m not quite there. The duvet cover isn’t ready, along with a few other minor tweaks. I’m sure I have older photos of the room on my computer, unfortunately, I forgot to snap some “before” shots until we were underway. I still want to give you an idea of the drastic change. This is (was) the wall color….
The room is so bright, it could handle the navy walls….
The old furniture actually looked very pretty against the navy. All of the trim, including the mantle are a cream color….
In these photos, we’d already moved the furniture to the center of the room and all the smaller things out. This is a little snippet to show you some of the old fabrics…
I’m only sharing my planning board the the new look. The walls have been painted, the carpet removed, and the wood floors refinished. New curtain have been hung, the antique iron bed has been repainted and has new bedding. So much more – when the duvet cover is complete, you’ll be the first to know……
the new look makes me want to tackle the other bedroom – shh… don’t tell hubby that I have a board already put together. Actually, he’s installing heart pine floors in my office now – more photos soon.
