Our new porch decor is in place, and I thought you might like a peek. I found new rugs, pillows, and a knickknack or two. The color scheme for this year was inspired by these cute polka dot chair cushions….
This porch is on the side of the house and is very long and narrow. I have the furniture grouped in three different arraignments, in an effort to make smaller more intimate areas. This end has a round glass table and four chairs. The table and chairs are older, their face lift included new colorful cushions and some flags to add some height and color. I toyed with an umbrella but it seemed silly to have an umbrella on a porch. I was wandering around World Market and found these three banner/flags on bamboo poles – they gave me exactly what I wanted – color, height, and fun…..
I love the rugs – they’re made of recycled plastic straws. I originally saw them on Emily Clark’s blog and purchased them through Amazon…
In between the two tables is a garden bench that I use as a serving station….here are a few of the fun finds on the bottom shelf…
The middle section of the porch has a table for two. I’ve carried this table inside for dinner in front of the fireplace, but it’s quite cozy in the warmer months for dining outside…..
A look back……
At the far end, the porch is wider and this is where we have seating for cocktail time….
My new coffee table looks perfect here…
and my new rusty truck – I think it would be cute holding lollipops…..
Our grandgirl and I created a beach fairy garden…
it seemed fitting on a hot summer day…
I spotted this box with the croquet balls at an antique store and bought the whole group …..
and finally, the bunting……
I found two prints on Etsy and bought two of each because I couldn’t decide. In an effort to keep hubby happy, rather than hammering nails in, we hung them on the banister….
Thank you for visiting!
