I’m really pushing spring this year with a butterfly tablescape in February. We haven’t had a harsh winter, I’m just tired of the cold. I love living in Virginia, but this Southern California transplant has never adapted to the colder winter temps. Once the groundhog predicted an early spring I began waiting, rather impatiently, for the first signs. I’m hoping I’ll feel warmer by surrounding myself with seasonal decor.
I spotted these butterfly covered runners at Pier 1 last week and had to ruin their tablescape to buy two. They’re part of their spring collection….
The salad plates are currently shown in Pier 1 with the runner, but mine were purchased last summer….
The butterflies and chargers were found at Michael’s (long ago, if Hubby is monitoring – ha!)……..
The man gets a teenie bit tense every time I set the table these days. It MIGHT be due to the numerous shelves in the basement. If he’d stop trying to put his clutter down there, I know it wouldn’t look so crowded.
Following our dinner, I’ve left the butterflies and candles on the table – it gives me a lift every time I walk in from the sleet outside. I doubt you’ll ever see me decorate for winter early – bring on the sun!!
Thank you for visiting!
