While I’m gathering all of my Christmas decorations for the variousĀ linky parties, I thought I’d share a little of our Thanksgiving Day celebration. We were fortunate to have both family and friends join us for the tasty feast. Let’s take a look at the table….
I used somewhat nontraditional salad plates – the colors are Autumn colors – doesn’t and elephant say “Hapy Thanksgiving” to you?
Because mix and match is oh so fun……a horse and a peacock joined in the turkey day festivities…
the center was filled with glittery pumpkins sitting on tree stumps and mercury glass lanterns….
While I was doing all this table setting, Hubby put on some warm clothes and headed outside to fry the bird…..
He soaked it in brine the day before then injected butter and spices……
the end result was fabulous…
I only wish I’d used my camera, rather than my phone, for the final photos – either way, we had a fun night with lots of great conversations, good laughs, and delicious food.
Thank you for visiting – I’ll be back in a few days with Christmas decorations all over the place – see you soon!
I’m joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday.
