Recently someone in our house had a birthday and that someone created a menu that was easy for the chefs to prepare, then set (her) birthday table to match the easy going style of the dinner – let’s take a look….
the birthday girl’s favorite flowers are daisies, so….
After a fiasco in the spring involving candle wax and ribbon – not a fab combo – I opted for the battery operated variety this go round. Best to ease Hubby back into flames on the table slowly……
A few shells and some blue for the water…
It was my favorite kind of meal – delicous food, simple setting, a fun evening with family…..
and now for the food…. a Grilled Romaine salad (copied from Wild Wolf Brewery) with fried chicken, bacon, Gorgonzola, and grilled lemon vinaigrette.
It’s a simple salad to make and the combination of subtle flavors is fab….
for dessert…my brother baked a gorgeous peach pie and he forgot to take the leftovers home – yes
Did I mention that we had peach pie????

That salad looks delicious! We are also “into” peaches! My husband brought a market basket of them from a local farm. We haven’t cut into the peach pie I baked this morning, but yours looks absolutely delicious!
