We recently celebrated my mother’s birthday with a family dinner.
One little lesson learned….ribbon and cheap(drippy) candles don’t make good tablescape partners. SOME people(Hubby) get a bit testy when we have a surprise mini bonfire in the center of the table – others laugh and blow it out ….
For dinner we had Giada’s Brown Butter Risotto with Shrimp and Lobster…..
I’ve shared this recipe before, I added shrimp this time – you can see it here
a simple salad with baby lettuce, avocado, and walnuts…..
and Hubby made a sea of bruschetta with mascarpone cheese, sundried tomatoes, and capers, they were delish…
As soon as my curtains are finished I’ll share a little kitchen face lift, hopefully soon.
Thanks for visiting!

This looks absolutely scrumptious! Don’t you just LOVE Giada’s recipes? She’s one of my favorites!
