As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, Christmas day is also Number One son’s birthday. For 33 years, we’ve started the day in Christmas mode…..
Being Christmas, red is always the main color. I found the plates at TJ Maxx, the bowls at Target, and the candle/napkin rings at Michaels….
My Santa cookie jar is frequently our Christmas brunch centerpiece…..
For breakfast this year I served baked oatmeal with a selection of berries, cooked apples, or dried fruit toppings. Currant scones and homemade apple sausage……
Mid-afternoon we change to Birthday mode……
The requested theme this year was “taco bar”, I went with simple and colorful…..
I used plates from two different sets, just for fun…
Margarita glasses were used for wine…
Some candles, and we’re ready for those tacos…
Thank you for visiting, tonight I’m joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday. Tomorrow I’ll add a list of the items Brandon served on his Taco Bar for Foodie Friday – I hope you’ll stop in again!
