We saw the table yesterday, today is all about the food for Foodie Friday at Designs by Gollum What’s a guy want for dinner? Meat and potatoes…… the potatoes were made a la Martha Stewart, baked then mashed skins and all…..
The beef tenderloin was served with acorn squash and peas…..
Most of my family passes the squash aka “pea holders” my way – more for me, yum!
served with Bordelaise Sauce…..
Bordelaise Sauce
Saute:
1 shallot, minced
1onion slice
2 carrot slices
sprig parsley
6 pepper corns
1 whole clove
1/2 bay leaf
Add:
2T flour
1 can condensed bouillon
can be done to this point 1 day before
15 minutes before serving add:
1/4 t salt
1/8t pepper
1/4 C red wine
1T snipped parsley
Strain and serve

Yum…who wouldn’t love beef tenderloin and potatoes? My husband would be in 7th heaven with this meal. Your presentation (and your photos) is gorgeous.

Sauces make the meal. And this sauce is perfect to pair with any red meat. Yummy! I’m adding this to my favorites.
