Projects and puppies have kept me busy lately. Even though I haven’t participated in many blogging events, I couldn’t miss my favorite – Tablescape Thursday with Susan at Between Naps on the Porch…..
Hubby and I are having a sushi lunch for two in the kitchen….
It’s a simple table with banana leaf sushi plates and chop sticks….
a dragonfly and a touch of orange in the napkin for a splash of color…..
to match the orange in the glasses…..
The centerpiece keeps with the same simple theme. I used the second “Bonsai” I created a few weeks ago during one of our many winter blizzards….
a pretty lady……
and a handsome gent….
a few extra details were off to the side, still most important though……
tomorrow we’ll serve lunch…..
I’ve been holding off on spring tables until the official start of the season – next week we’re on the porch with birds and flowers on the table!! I’ve been planning spring tables since our first frost last fall. I sure hope this doesn’t jinx our warming trend, if so we’ll wear jackets for dinner because I’m heading outside – sure hope you’ll join me.
Everything on the table (except my Bonsai) was purchased over a span of several years at TJ Maxx – the tea pot and dragon are recent purchases from Pier 1.

Oh, nice. I love this change of pace. I adore Asian style and your lovely tablescape. I especially like that bonsai.;)
Win Rachael Ray bake ware at my blog.
Thanks!

We love sushi here and it would be lovely to have some nice serving pieces. You are ahead of the game and I just love your plates.
Happy Thursday! :-)
